Pizza Cake

Pizza Dough

Prepare the pizza dough:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

Step 2

Add the warm water and olive oil to the bowl. Mix until a soft dough forms.

Step 3

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Step 4

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Pizza Filling

Prepare the pizza filling:

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a round cake pan.

Step 3

Roll out the pizza dough into a circle slightly larger than the cake pan. Place it into the greased pan, making sure to press the dough up the sides of the pan.

Step 4

Spread the tomato sauce mixture evenly over the dough.

Step 5

Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Step 6

Layer half of the pepperoni, black olives, bell peppers, red onions, and mushrooms over the cheese.

Step 7

Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.

Cake Batter

Prepare the cake batter:

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 2

Add the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until well combined.

Step 3

Pour in the boiling water and mix until the batter is smooth.

Step 4

Pour the cake batter over the pizza filling in the cake pan.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cake Frosting

Prepare the cake frosting:

Step 1

In a chilled mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

Step 2

Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Continue beating until stiff peaks form.

Step 3

Once the cake has cooled, spread the whipped cream frosting over the top.

Step 4

Decorate with additional toppings if desired.

Step 5

Slice and serve the pizza cake.
