Ultimate Orange Sesame Chicken Delight

1.In a large bowl, season the chicken pieces with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

2.In a separate bowl, combine the cornstarch and all-purpose flour. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

3.Dip the floured chicken pieces into the beaten eggs, ensuring they are fully coated.

4.Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels.

5.In a medium saucepan, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, orange zest, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

6.Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5 minutes until it thickens slightly. If the sauce is too thin, you can thicken it by mixing 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and adding it to the sauce, stirring until it thickens.

8.Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the chicken and toss again to ensure even distribution.
