Creamy Pasta Carbonara

1.Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.

2.In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

3.In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper until well combined.

4.Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the bacon fat, toss to coat the pasta.

5.Pour the egg and cheese mixture over the spaghetti and quickly toss to combine, adding the reserved pasta water gradually to create a creamy sauce.

6.Cook over low heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the pasta.

7.Remove from heat and stir in the crispy bacon.

8.Serve the pasta carbonara hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
